SPORT

In addition to the comprehensive Physical Education programme that is a part of the curriculum, Calvin is committed to providing students with the opportunity to develop sporting excellence through athlete and sports team training. Being actively involved in the various training programmes including representing Calvin in sporting competitions and carnivals provides students with the opportunity to develop the self discipline and dedication viewed as essential to be successful in other areas of life.

Calvin is a member of the Sport Association of Tasmanian Independent Schools (SATIS) and the school competes in the SATIS swimming, cross country and athletics carnivals. In addition to this the school fields teams in SATIS sports rosters and competes as a club in other sporting rosters in a wide variety of sports including, soccer, cricket, netball, basketball, table tennis, water polo, yachting,  triathlon, hockey, volleyball and equestrian.

Calvin offers a range of opportunities for students to represent the school in sporting competitions throughout the year. The new rosters will be available when school resumes. You will also be able to download a copy of the latest Sport Handbook here soon.
