CALVIN GRADUATE AMY WATKINS NAMED KINGBOROUGH COUNCIL YOUNG CITIZEN OF THE YEAR

Eighteen-year-old Amy Watkins, a recent Calvin Graduate (2011) took out the Young Citizen of the Year Award for her impressive contribution in assisting youth in Kingborough. Kingborough Council Mayor Dr. Graham Bury was pleased to award Amy, who has been an inspirational role model to younger members of the community.

THE JUBILEE

On January 20 and 21, 2012 Calvin Christian School will celebrate its 50th Anniversary. Anniversaries are a wonderful opportunity to pause and reflect, recall and remember, repent and reconnect, reaffirm and revitalise and celebrate. Calvin has a marvellous heritage – a heritage that is a testimony to God’s goodness over 50 years.

NAB SCHOOL FIRST AWARD WINNER, 2011

Calvin Christian School was a 2011 National Australia Bank (NAB) ‘Schools First’ awards winner with a $25 000 grant. The grant acknowledges a partnership between Calvin and the Australian Antarctic Division, which will enable science teacher, David Dieckfoss, to further develop his innovative Antarctic Studies programme in collaboration with researchers at the AAD.
